The family, friends and followers of Chandler “Chuck” David Hendry, a 27-year-old religious influencer and founder of the Restored Truth platform, are mourning his sudden death following a three-vehicle crash in Lehi on August 7, 2026.
Hendry was killed at the intersection of Timpanogos Highway and Morning Vista Road after a collision involving three vehicles. According to police information reported by local news outlets, witnesses said Hendry was traveling westbound and ran a red light before striking two vehicles traveling through the intersection. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No other serious injuries were reported.
Police said Hendry was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
Hendry was widely known online for his faith-based work through Restored Truth, a platform and podcast focused on scripture, religious discussion and his beliefs as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His online audience had grown substantially, with thousands following his YouTube, Instagram and TikTok accounts.
His sudden death has deeply affected people within the religious community, particularly fellow creators and followers who had connected with his work.
Family members and friends remembered Hendry as someone who was passionate about his faith and wanted to encourage others to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ. His father, Chad Hendry, said his son’s goal was to help people move toward what he described as “the feet of his Savior, Jesus Christ.”
Hendry’s wife, AnaLynn Hendry, and his parents survive him, according to reports. His family and supporters have received an outpouring of condolences since news of the crash became public.
A candlelight vigil was held in his honor on August 10 at an LDS Church building in Highland, where family members, friends and followers gathered to remember his life and influence.
Hendry had also recently attended the FAIR Conference in Utah, where he spent time with other religious creators and members of the organization. FAIR later issued a tribute describing his death as unexpected and expressing sorrow over the loss of the Restored Truth host.
For those who followed his work, Chandler Hendry’s death represents the loss of a young voice who had devoted much of his public life to discussing faith, scripture and religious conviction.
For his family, however, the loss is far more personal. Behind the online personality was a husband, son, brother and friend whose life touched the people closest to him.
Chandler “Chuck” David Hendry will be remembered by his family, friends and followers for his strong convictions, his willingness to speak openly about his faith and the impact he sought to make through his work.
His life ended suddenly at 27, leaving those who knew and loved him to grieve while holding onto the memories and messages he left behind.
May Chandler Hendry rest in peace, and may his family find comfort and strength in the days ahead.
