Austin McCulloch Obituary, GLADWIN COUNTY, Mich. — Austin McCulloch, 28, of Beaverton, Michigan, died Monday afternoon, August 17, 2026, after an ATV crash on McCulloch Road in Beaverton Township, according to the Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to McCulloch Road, south of Calhoun Road, at approximately 4:25 p.m. Monday for a report of a personal-injury ATV crash. McCulloch was identified as the operator of the ATV involved in the incident.
According to the preliminary on-scene investigation, McCulloch was traveling northbound on McCulloch Road when he lost control of a 2023 Can-Am Outlander 4×4 quad-runner. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, but McCulloch did not survive the crash.
Investigators said there was no indication that another vehicle was involved. The circumstances that led to McCulloch losing control of the ATV remain under investigation, and authorities have not reached a conclusion regarding the cause of the crash.
The Gladwin County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Beaverton Fire & Rescue and medical personnel from MyMichigan Ambulance Service. The response involved local emergency personnel following the reported fatal ATV crash.
