Alaina Lawrence Obituary, UNIVERSITY PLACE — Alaina Lawrence, a beloved kindergarten teacher at University Place Elementary, has died at the age of 30 following nearly six weeks of an unexpected and difficult illness.
Lawrence was remembered not only for her dedication to her students but also as a devoted wife, loving mother, and deeply cherished friend. Her passing has left those who knew her mourning the loss of a young woman who touched the lives of many through both her family and her work in education.
According to Lynsie Glasscock, Lawrence particularly looked forward each year to visits to University Place Elementary’s kindergarten classrooms. Those visits brought her tremendous joy, and Glasscock described Lawrence as one of the visitor’s biggest fans.
Lawrence’s connection to her students extended beyond the classroom. Her work as a kindergarten teacher placed her in the lives of young children during their earliest years of education, while her enthusiasm for the annual visits created memories that remained special to her.
Lawrence is survived by her husband, Asa, and their daughter, Lyla. The family was facing an especially difficult loss after Lyla had celebrated her second birthday just two days before the death of her mother.
