Clint Jason Murphy Obituary, NEWBURGH, Ind. — Clint Jason Murphy, 53, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026. His death has prompted an outpouring of grief from family and those who knew him, with loved ones remembering him for his magnetic personality, generosity and devotion to his family.
Murphy was born in Evansville, Indiana, on April 16, 1973, to Ronald and Angela (Vore) Murphy. He was a graduate of Princeton High School, where he built an impressive wrestling career. Those who knew Clint described him as resilient and determined, with an ability to handle difficult situations while still finding ways to make people smile.
Clint was known for his distinctive personality and his ability to make others laugh, even during serious moments. His family remembered him as someone who could make people laugh often and leave a lasting impression. Although his tattoos could give him an intimidating appearance, those close to him said he was quick to help others whenever he had the opportunity.
His kindness was often shown through simple acts of generosity. Clint would give up his seat for someone, help a person reach something in a grocery store and assist elderly shoppers with carrying their groceries to their vehicles. He was also an avid dog lover, particularly devoted to his Rottweiler, Zeus. He enjoyed adventures and spontaneous road trips, creating memories along the way.
Family was especially important to Clint. He enjoyed spending time with his parents and loved playing with his grandchildren, often sitting with them and talking for hours. His family said he cherished those moments, and his passing leaves behind many loved ones who will remember the time they shared with him.
Clint is survived by his wife of 15 years, Mendy (Johnson) Murphy; his parents; brothers Bill (Kim) Sisk and Clay (Teresa) Murphy; children Megan Murphy, Jesse Murphy and Zach (Ashley) Murphy; stepchildren Aaron (Marrissa) Hensley, Tyler (Hayleigh) Hensley, Haylie (Logan) Willman and Kaylie (Jesse) Kissel; and numerous grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service for Clint Murphy will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2026, at Alexander North Chapel, with Bill Altman officiating. Burial will follow at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026.
Clint’s family and loved ones continue to remember him for the lives he touched, his willingness to help others and the time he devoted to those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and everyone who had the opportunity to know him, and his memory will continue to live on through the people whose lives he touched.
