David Brian Miller Obituary, ROCKFORD, Ala. — David Brian Miller, 57, of Rockford, Alabama, passed away on August 21, 2026. He was remembered for his strong faith, hardworking nature, love of the outdoors, and deep devotion to his family, especially his grandchildren.
Miller was born on April 22, 1969, to Clayton Bonard Miller Jr. and Melinda Fay Yates Brown. His life was marked by steady work, faith, family, and the simple activities he enjoyed most. He accepted Christ and was baptized on December 26, 1999, at Concord Baptist Church.
For many years, Miller worked as an electrician, a trade that reflected his practical skills and dependable nature. He took pride in staying busy and doing things the right way. His strong work ethic and practical approach to life became important parts of the way he was known by those around him.
Outside of work, Miller enjoyed hunting and fishing and valued time spent outdoors. He also enjoyed working with his hands and taking part in activities that allowed him to remain active and productive. His love for these pastimes became especially meaningful when he was able to share them with his grandchildren.
Above all, Miller cherished his family and took particular joy in his grandchildren. He enjoyed teaching them how to hunt, fish, drive a tractor, and learn other skills they were interested in. Those shared experiences created memories that his family will continue to carry with them.
Miller is survived by his wife, Deborah Hamilton Miller of Rockford; son Aaron Hamilton and his wife, Samantha, of Equality; daughter Angel Gettings and her husband, Joey, of Alexander City; grandchildren Bailee Hamilton and Eason Hamilton of Equality, and Willow Gettings, Salem Gettings, and Tatum Gettings of Alexander City; and sister Emily Miller of Kellyton. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for David Brian Miller will be held Monday, August 24, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Camp officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Rockford. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Radney Funeral Home. His memory will remain with his family and all who knew him, particularly through the lessons he shared and the time he devoted to those he loved.
