Sharon Cleland Obituary, CARRICKFERGUS, Northern Ireland — Sharon Cleland passed away on August 27, 2026, at Antrim Hospital following a short illness. She was from Ashleigh Park, Carrickfergus.
Sharon was the beloved daughter of Annie and the late George. She was also a loving sister to Susan and George, and the late Hugh.
She will be remembered as a much-loved auntie and great-auntie. Her family has expressed their sorrow following her passing and the loss of a cherished member of their loved ones.
A Service of Thanksgiving for Sharon’s life will be held at S&J Irvine’s Funeral Home, 31–35 Irish Quarter South, Carrickfergus, BT38 8BL, on Monday, August 31, at 2:00 p.m.
Following the service, Sharon will be laid to rest at Victoria Cemetery. Flowers are welcome for those wishing to pay their respects.
Those who prefer to make a donation in lieu of flowers may contribute to the Macmillan Unit at Antrim Area Hospital through S&J Irvine. Donations can be made by cheque payable to NHSCT, by card via telephone, or in cash.
Sharon’s relatives shared a heartfelt tribute to her memory: “To us you were someone special, someone set apart. Your memory will live forever, engraved with our hearts.” Her family, friends and loved ones will remember her with affection as they come together to honour her life and legacy.
