Tyler Auville Obituary: Washington County, Ohio – Newport Man Dies After Rollover Crash on State Route 7

Tyler Auville Obituary, WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ohio — Tyler Auville, 34, of Newport, Ohio, has died following a rollover crash on State Route 7 in Marietta Township on August 22, 2026, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Investigators said Auville was driving a 1965 Ford Mustang along State Route 7 when the vehicle crossed over the center line. The Mustang then struck an embankment and overturned, leaving Auville with serious injuries.

Emergency responders removed Auville from the vehicle and transported him to Marietta Memorial Hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, he later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Auville was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. Investigators also said alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash.

The circumstances surrounding why the Mustang crossed the center line remain under investigation. Authorities have not released additional information regarding the vehicle’s speed or whether other factors contributed to the collision.

Multiple agencies responded to the crash, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Newport Fire Department and EMS, Reno Fire Department and EMS, Washington County Coroner’s Office and PCS Towing. Their response followed the serious rollover crash and the subsequent emergency medical efforts.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. Additional information may be released as investigators work to determine what led to the collision.
